Dr. Kennedy received his MD from National University of Ireland in 1972 and his Ph.D from Northwestern University in Chicago in 1983.
He graduated from Emory University in 1997 and has practiced as a Neurologist in the Duluth area for over 20 years and also has an office in Blairsville, GA.
He sees patients with all types of neurological problems.

Most common problems coming through the door are seizures, sleep disorders, headaches, neuropathies, radiculopathies, strokes, myasthenia gravis, myopathies, multiple sclerosis, ALS, post-concussion syndromes, Bell’s palsies, carpel tunnel syndromes, Pyriformis syndromes, and so forth.
In fact, any disorder that is neurological. Sometimes I refer patients to a tertiary care neurological center and to other specialists.

We perform in-house tests such as EEG and ambulatory EEGs for seizures, nerve conduction studies and EMG for neuropathies, ALS etc.
We also arrange imaging such as MRI, laboratory studies and sleep studies. I also encourage patients to use systems to lower the expense of tests and medications.
“I believe patients should act like consumers and not act like recipients of socialized medicine, a system that has never been to the patient’s long term advantage.
I accept most insurance company’s policies, along with Medicare and Medicaid.
